Hi, today is Quiz day and as I told here before, September is month of TOEFL and phrasal verbs exercises. It is for intermediate or upper intermediate, but if you are brave, go ahead and try. I chose a level 1 quiz:
This quiz is not too big and you can click and see the answers.
Do you like the energy of flowers?
I love it!!! I and my friend Nana have this phrase tattoed in our bodies to remember that we used to write this phrase on the envelopes when she used to live out of Rio and we changed letters to reduce the kilometers and how we missed each other that time...we really believe in the good energy of flowers and also used to buy flowers earrings, necklaces etc.
Today, I cut off two flowers in my garden and used them to turn my desk more beautiful and being with flowers makes me feel calmer, relaxed and with a good sensation. I use to have plants that have flowers during all the year!
September is when Spring starts in Brazil, specifically on 23rd it starts, so, to celebrate it, this post gives you:
1) A picture dictionary where you can learn names of flowers from A to Z. Click here.
2) An exercise where you can test if you know the name of flowers in English (it shows you the answers when you click on the buttom show the answers). Click here.
I love using flowers at home, in all the rooms, including the bathroom. I used to by flowers every Monday and distribute them into wine bottles around the house. I love roses, daisies and I am crazy about Gerberas, they are like big daisies, they come into strong colors and they take a lot of time in vases. I love tropical flowers too.
Hi guys, as we said before here at the blog, September is the month of Quizzes preparing for certifications .
Click here and do this test for TOEFL grammar.
Vagas limitadas!
I love Penne and cooking pasta. I share with you a great recipe for a Sunday. Also, it is the name of my Goddaughter. Cheers to my aunt Norma. Hope you enjoy, guys!
If you go to the stove and prepare it, hope it is delicious!
Manda a foto pra gente, viu?

3 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
Coarse salt and ground pepper

I hope our Pen Pal Club have the opportunity to have real meetings and it means: Travel!!!
I love travelling and I really want to travel more often, to visit friends and family and to see new places.
Thinking about this, I selected this DIY (do it yourself):
It is one of 37 ideas of how to keep vacation memories. I loved this idea. To see how to do it and the other 36 ideas, go to Martha Stewart. There, click on the how to or take a look at the other ideas.
If you do one of it, please e-mail and send me a picture!
Ps: Following DIY instructions is a good way to think in English, execute something while you read English instructions, increase your vocabulary list and also learn one more thing!
Today is Friday and Friday is day of relaxing, with a clip and a song.
This week I got the suggestion from Suzana, my new e-learning student! Welcome Su!!! We have classes from skype.
It was fantastic she suggested me to work with this song when testing skype connection in our first class.
I was so happy with her initiative and attitude and loved to know this guy. A talent! The rock and roll atmosphere that I love.
By the way, Suzana told me that she was just changing channels when she found it in an alternative channel and she downloaded a CD and had fun. How do you choose music to your life, to your personal collection?
She told me she does not like POP and common things. How does it work with you?
Did you like Richard Hawley?
Have you ever listened to his songs yet?
To follow after your third time watching the video:
Just Like The Rain
Richard Hawley
Walking silent through the snow
Drifting softly to your door,
I'm coming home, I'm coming home.
I feel so strange, I feel so weak
I've walked a world of empty streets
In search alone, I've searched alone.
But you're still in my mind
You're still in my mind
And here's where the sound
Of my tears hits the ground
Just like the rain
Just like the rain.
When we walked along the shore
My darkness shaded, all we saw
I was unkind, I was unkind
I feel so strange, I feel so weak
I've walked a world of empty streets
In search alone, I've searched alone.
But you're still in my mind
You're still in my mind
And here's where the sound
Of my tears hits the ground
Just like the rain
Just like the rain.
(solo)
But you're still in my mind
You're still in my mind
And here's where the sound
Of my tears hits the ground
Just like the rain
Just like the rain
Just like the rain
Just like the rain
We have been using our meetings to improve writting skills and then, she answers the Pen Pal´s messages at least when she have English Classes.
As a physioterapist, running Tao Fisio, she is not connected all the time.
I am happy she said that writting is important too and that she understands that when writting, she has to think about vocabulary and language structure!
Thanks for your participation, Gi!
